Jaime Maestro started working as 3D Artist 10 years ago, when he decided to drop out of the architecture degree to pursue his true vocation: the 3D animation.
After some years in various production companies, he arrives to pasozebra to supervise the newly created 3D department. His first work is the shortfilm "Sr. Trapo", wining the GOYA award and a prenomination to the OSCARS with it.
Among other works, also highlight the series for Disney Channel's Norman the Postman" and the ads "Chocoflakes" for Cuetara.
Jaime subsequently founded Keytoon Animation Studio, with two partners (Jonatan Catalán and Alex Mateo), where he occupies the role of creative director.
Its customers include TLC, Curious Pictures, Disney Channel USA and Spain, Wildbrain, Mattel, Paramount Pictures, Big Idea or Disney, for those who collaborate in the pre-production of "Aristocats 2". He also direct some short films, most notably "The Grandfather of Soul" which becomes a finalist in SIGGRAPH 2007.
After his paternity, he decides to leave keytoon and spend more time with family. Currently he works as freelance designing, modeling, rigging or animating for video games, commercials or TV series, with clients such as Nickelodeon, UBISOFT, Pixable, ToT Industries...
Despite being self-taught, he has had the opportunity to learn from top professionals such as Pixar animators Kyle Balda and Carlos Baena, or collaborate on projects of Rodrigo Blaas (PIXAR), Sergio Pablos (supervising animator at Disney), taking care of making the characters in his films.
